    What is R3 oil?

    R3 oil is a unique combination of inert oils and active with a variety of fantastic properties. It contains ricinoleic acid which is the ultimate inflammation fighter (found in oil of the castor bean). Peanut oil has long been used in folk medicine for conditions of arthritis and muscle pain and is rich in polyphenols. Both are cold-pressed and cold-processed. The active oils are often found in OTC or prescription balms and liniments. Dr. K. has used steam-distilled essential oils of Wintergreen, Juniper Berry, Eucalyptus, Pine needles, Menthol Crystals and White camphor in his ingredients. The oils all have been formulated specifically to help reduce aches, pains and stiffness such as that associated with the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and arthritis.

    How does it work?
    There are a number of different mechanisms at work here. DMSO (an ingredient in the Devil-Ice) by itself has been shown by many reports and studies to have near miraculous effects on pain, inflammation and arthritis. All of Dr. K’s ingredients in the R3 Oil have a long history of use for all the conditions discussed above….and more. Castor Oil, a main ingredient has been called the “Palma Christi” (the hand of Christ) during the Middle Ages because it was so revered for uses on all kinds of injuries sustained in the crusades or at home. The essential oils help to bring increased warmth, circulation and healing to the area. Other oils help to lubricate the joint and pre-vent friction.
