    For thousands of years Castor Oil has been used for everything from machine lubricant to easing menstrual cramps and clearing warts. It has been used therapeutically and to assist healing in ancient Persia, India, China, Africa, Greece, Rome, the Americas and in 17th century Europe. Castor oil was called the Palma Christi or the “Hand of Christ” because it had a powerful healing effect for many, many conditions, especially whenever any type of inflammation was involved.

    Castor Oil comes from the beans of the Ricinus Communis Plant. The most useful oil is cold-pressed and cold-processed. Dr. K’s Crystal-O Castor oil has not been heated or degraded by chemicals in any way.

    How does it work?
    Castor oil appears to work by using ricinoleic acid, a powerful anti-inflammatory. It appears to work by drawing blood circulation and enhancing biological energy to the areas where it is applied. Many practitioners use it to not only treat the symptoms of a disorder, but also to eradicate the root cause. Castor oil applied topically, has been shown to detoxify the body on deeper levels and to subdue pain and inflammation of many types.

    Much of the uses of Castor Oil is in the form of a pack. Much of the popularity in using it as a pack can be attributed to the famous “Deep Trance Psychic” Edgar Cayce, also called the “Sleeping Prophet”, who liberally recommended the use of Castor oil, but externally only.
